Abstract: |
The potential within the study area for the presence of below-ground archaeology was low, although it could not be discounted completely. The distillery/laundry complex and the partially demolished maltings were significant elements of the built environment and as such were worthy of record and study. Development on the site was likely to result in demolition and significant alterations to the existing buildings. Hull House and Glenn House were intrinsically related to the buildings within the study area although opportunity for study may be limited as they did not form part of the proposed development and as such would not be affected.
