Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken on a site which lay within the medieval core of Hedon. The evidence obtained from the brief emphasised the importance of the excellent preservation of archaeological material along the street frontage of at least the northerly end of Sheriff Highway. Floors, walls and associated yards belonging to one or more 15th century tenements lay 0.60 metres below the present ground surface. [Au(abr)] |
