Abstract: |
A large assemblage of post-medieval artefacts (mostly pottery and clay pipe) were recovered during the mechanical removal of between 600mm and 1.1 metres of garden soil. This work also revealed the presence of a late 15th to 16 century domestic rubbish pits, which contained a significant assemblage of pottery, tile, animal bone and shell. A sample was taken for environmental analysis, but held only limited potential for further study. [Au(abr)] |
