Abstract: |
<summary>Research into the history of the site involving documentary research, trial-trenching and geophysical survey found evidence of an Anglo-Saxon structure and parts of the medieval college. Many of the deposits were found to be in good condition, but tiles had been removed from the cloister walk. A decorated lead writing crayon was found in demolition deposits - the only find of its kind in England.
