Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation on land proposed for the construction of two accommodation blocks within the DNBC Centre indicated that the potential for archaeological activity on the site was likely to be very low, although the possibility of isolated features existing within the area could not be discounted. Modern activity appeared not to have penetrated the Chalk bedrock to any great degree, so that any chalk-cut features exisiting on the site may have survived. [Au]
