Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation comprised 8 hand-excavated test-pits undertaken to sample a Mesolithic flint scatter, along with 7 machine trenches undertaken to sample a cropmark complex and a series of anomalies revealed through a programme of geophysical survey. No significant archaeological deposits were encountered in any of the test-pits or trenches, although additional worked flints were recovered to add to the collection retrieved through fieldwalking in 1992.[AIP] |
