Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was undertaken at the site after an earlier evaluation identified Roman and Bronze Age features. No prehistoric features except some possible undated/Iron Age ditches and pits were identified. Roman linear features and pits were identified, containing a quantity of pottery and tile. A ring ditch was identified but as this cut Roman features and was associated with a modern bank, it was interpreted as a possible World War II structure. [Au(adp)] |
