Abstract: |
Trial trenches were excavated on the proposed development site. A buried land surface was identified, containing Late Mesolithic/Early Neolithic worked flint. A Late Bronze Age spearhead was recovered from the peat inundation that sealed the surface. A track was built in the medieval period over the peat, using limestone rubble. Medieval finds were also recovered from a medieval plough soil. [Au(abr)] |
