Abstract: |
The results confirmed the 'Character Zones' of Bath by identifying clusters of deposits of Roman formation in the Julian Road, Sion Hill and Weston High Street areas. The majority appeared to have been Roman road metalling, with isolated deposits of colluvium and possibly Roman soil horizons. Small quantities of residual artefacts were present in previously disturbed backfill deposits, but none were retained. [Au(abr)] |
