Abstract: |
On the basis of the assessment, the study site was shown to have a low archaeological potential for all past periods of human activity prior to 1843. The eastern part of the site contained a group of early railway buildings of 1843 to 1847, which were Grade II Listed. Past post-depositional impacts were defined as severe to very severe. Overall, given the study sites low archaeological potential for the periods prior to 1843, and the extent of past post-depositional impacts; the sites archaeological potential could probably now be defined as residing solely in the Grade II Listed railways buildings.
