Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the excavation of two test pits through the basement slab and the extension of the basement was monitored. The watching brief showed evidence of 19th century cellar backfill and an undated deposit of clay which had probably been redeposited, possibly representing the backfill of a palaeochannel or quarry pit.
