Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed post-medieval services and pavement sealing a series of post-medieval make-up dumps. An undated skeleton was observed in situ beneath the dumps in the northern part of the trench. Also revealed were a series of levelling dumps, the earliest of which was of Saxo-Norman date and probably represented levelling of the ground for the construction of the New Temple by the Knights Templar. This was sealed by a sequence of post-medieval make-up layers. [Au] |
