Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site within an Archaeological Priority Area. Prehistoric timber trackways had been excavated in the surrounding area. During the evaluation, a peat horizon containing a natural accumulation of substantial timbers was recorded. Pieces of burnt flint and a small fragment of 1st millennium pottery were recovered. [AIP]
