Abstract: |
Geophysical survey was undertaken over undeveloped land in the northern part of the proposed development area. Possible traces of ridge and furrow were detected in the north of this area. A large pipe was detected traversing the centre of the survey area; the southern part was found to contain a high concentration of ferrous litter. Archaeological evaluation proved the geophysical anomalies were the remains of ridge and furrow and showed this extended into areas to the west of the factory that had been unsuitable for geophysical investigation. Apart from land drains, no other features of an archaeological nature were identified. [Au(abr)] |
