Abstract: |
In the boreholes, homogenous mixes of silty clays were observed overlying water deposited sands and gravels to a depth of up to c.9m below modern level. The trial pits and trenches revealed structures probably demolished at the time of the construction of Merchantgate and Piccadilly in the early 20th century. [Au(abr)] |
