Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during water mains replacement in and between Braceby, Sapperton and Ropsley villages. The villages were situated in an area containing remains dating from the Bronze Age period through to the post-medieval period. Archaeological monitoring concentrated on areas where it passed close to known archaeological sites and in the vicinity of each of the medieval village centre. Although artefacts dating to the post-medieval period were retrieved, no archaeological deposits were identified. [Au] |
