Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the construction of a supermarket. The site lay close to a Scheduled Ancient Monument, the site of a moated manor. A previous evaluation had revealed evidence for the courses of three prehistoric streams, and had recovered some worked flints. No archaeological evidence was recorded during the watching brief, but new information allowed the known topographic details of the prehistoric landscape to be modified. [AIP] |
