Abstract:		 The watching brief was undertaken during ground disturbance works in relation to the construction of new housing. A few sherds of post-medieval ceramics were recovered from the topsoil and a charcoal filled pit interpreted as an area of burning following crop clearance was identified on the site. No deposits related to the adjacent medieval manor or associated field systems were observed during the watching brief. [Au(abr)]
