Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a foundation trench. An 11th-12th century ditch with pottery indicating nearby occupation was encountered. A phase of cultivation, followed by the construction of a building in the 13th-14th centuries followed by a further period of cultivation was recorded. Later the area became gardens. [Au(abr)] |
