Abstract: |
<summary>The form and dimensions suggested that the ditched enclosure was a medieval moated site. This would have been consistent with its location in an area of medieval enclosed fields. Two other possible moated sites existed within a 1km radius, at Shustoke Farm and in Great Barr Park. If the main enclosure was correctly interpreted as a moat, then by analogy with other moated sites it would have enclosed at least one building and associated yards, traceable by geophysical survey. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea}{italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 2824 |
