Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief took place on a development site. All three trenches exposed a similar sequence of deposits, with recent made ground and reworked soil horizons overlying sterile material. Apart from the cut for the modern roadside wall there were no discrete features. The few pottery finds (and rarely glass fragments) that were recovered dated back to the 19th and 20th centuries. There was also some fragmentary unglazed brick and tile but no definitely earlier material. [Au(abr)] |
