Abstract: |
Two flint walls were found during the evaluation of Eldo House Farm which were believed to be part of the medieval grange, belonging to the Abbot of St. Edmunds, which once stood here. A documentary search also revealed a wealth of information about the site. Evidence of Iron Age occupation was also found in two locations on the site in the form of a pit containing large quantities of Late Iron Age pottery, together with animal bone and a single sherd of pottery from an unstratified context.
