Abstract: |
A watching brief during groundworks for the construction of a detatched dwelling on a site located within the eastern boundary of the shrunken medieval village of Humbleton, which survives as earthworks, identified features suggestive of a building being located within the development area. A layer of clay containing 15th and 16th century artefacts overlay the building remains and had been presumably dumped following the clearance of the site for agricultural use. [AIP] |
