Abstract: |
Excavations revealed a complex sequence of boundary ditches of both Roman and medieval date which provided substantial evidence for the use and subdivision of land to the north of the High Street. Archaeological features of Bronze Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval date were recorded. Remains of a partial enclosure/field system of Bronze Age date and another of Roman date were identified, as were horticultural /agricultural features from the medieval period. [AIP] |
