Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment and topographical survey was carried out at the site as part of a local heritage initiative project. The historic landscape across the study area was largely a product of two separate periods or re-organisation and development. The first came in the 19th century when the area of the medieval deer park was divided and sold off. At this time, the site consisted of large houses and surrounding grounds, which later were built over during the 20th century. [Au(adp)] |
