Abstract: |
<summary>Disturbed or redeposited gravels were observed and were interpreted as evidence of the cutting of terraces into the side of the Walbrook Valley. However, the majority (if not all) of the archaeology revealed dated from the Roman period. The remains of what seemed to be a building of considerable size, built of materials commonly associated with higher status, were uncovered; they were dated by a sherd of Alice Holt/Farnham Ware to {italon}circa{italoff} AD 270-350. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
