Abstract: |
<summary>Waterlain gravels covered the natural sand at the south end of the site. In places, a layer of ploughsoil overlay the gravel and sands - this was dated to the 16th or 17th century. Ploughsoil was not evident in the south-east corner of the site, where Second World War bomb damage had truncated the upper surface of the natural deposits. No further work was deemed necessary. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
