Abstract: |
Several features of possible archaeological interest were recorded, including a series of agricultural ditches and plough furrows that predated the enclosure of the area in c.1773. These were mainly undatable but thought to be from the medieval/early post-medieval periods, with one perhaps dating to the Iron Age/Roman periods. A small ring ditch containing a central pit was identified and dated to the later post-medieval or modern periods. There was not thought to have been intensive past use of the area. [Au(adp)] |
