Abstract: |
Monitoring of the groundworks revealed that a substantial layer of charcoal rich ashy clay silt had been deposits on the site, perhaps the result of industrial activity in the vicinity. This had been covered with a layer of brown clay through which the post-medieval and 19th century pits and foundations had been excavated. [Au(abr)] |
