Abstract: |
A site on the Norfolk fen-edge that had previously failed to yield archaeological finds to metal-detecting gave up several Middle Bronze Age metal objects after deep winter ploughing. A small excavation was organised to investigate the area and discovered Bronze Age, Iron Age and Neolithic material. The Bronze Age finds were associated with a woody peat layer and it was concluded that the contemporary landsurface was wooded and waterlogged. [AIP] |
