Abstract: |
Two trenches were mechanically excavated on the line of proposed service trenches. Post-medieval features were encountered in the trench on the eastern side of the site, which included the corner of a stone wall and a metalled surface, together with an undated hearth. The trench on the western side of the site encountered a mid to late 19th century cesspit that had been filled in with rubbish and capped with sand and clay. [Au(abr)] |
