Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a riding school, previously used as allotments and rough pasture. A desk-based study had revealed that a single prehistoric flint arrowhead had been recorded in the near vicinity. Other material had been found within a larger radius, and peat deposits on the site had potential for palaeoenvironmental information. No finds or features were revealed, although samples taken had some value as part of an environmental database for the River Thames and its hinterland. [AIP] |
