Abstract: |
Observations of machine dug trenches following topsoil stripping for a cottage recorded the southern edge of an ironstone quarry and features associated with the former Lodge Farm. Nothing earlier than the post-medieval period was recorded during the arcvhaeological observation. The 20th century quarry may well have removed a large part of the area within which Roman remains had been found previously.[Au(AIP)] |
