Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a house, which lay on the edge of Bridge End, a medieval suburb of Warwick. A medieval ditch, possibly a field boundary, had been found in the vicinity, whilst a sandstone causeway leading to the nearby Old Castle Bridge, a Scheduled Ancient Monument, had also been excavated. During the evaluation, no evidence for medieval activity was revealed, suggesting that the suburb had not extended as far east as the site. [AIP] |
