Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed evidence of prehistoric activity primarliy in the form of ditches and gullies that formed part of a rectangular enclosure and associated features. A possible circular structure was also revealed within the interior of the enclosure. The pottery recovered from the features indicated a date range of Middle - Late Iron Age. The site as a whole appeared to have been occupied only during this period. The site had remained as semi-improved grassland and preserved the remains of a medieval / post-medieval agricultural landscape in the form of ridge and furrow. [Au] |
