Abstract: |
Two small trenches were excavated at Barlings Abbey in advance of the erection of interpretive panels. The Premonstratensian abbey grew to be one of the richest and most influential of its type in England. Deposits of probable medieval date comprising make-up layers and a culvert were identified. These were overlain by demolition refuse deposited during the 19th century. [Au] |
