Abstract: |
An archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed development site. The site was situated between the 13th century church and market place and may have been the location of the village green. Cartographic sources show the site as containing a row of houses/shops in the 18th century. The site was identified as having potential for prehistoric, Roman, Saxon and medieval archaeological remains. [Au(abr)] |
