Abstract: |
A 15m evaluation trench was excavated on 25th July across the rear of the site. The only features to be found were all 18th or 19th century, cut into the natural clay. No trace of the Civil War defensive ditch was found. The second trench was abandoned as there were cellars across the area where it was to be dug. [Au] |
