Abstract: |
A fluxgate gradiometer survey was undertaken along sections of the proposed A507 Ridgemmont Bypass. The majority of the corridor appeared to be clear of archaeological anomalies excluding traces of ridge and furrow. Potentially significant anomalies were recorded in the eastern end of Field 3. These appeared to represent buried ditches and pits, and included elements of subcircular enclosures. The small circular anomaly could have indicated a ring ditch, although the resolution of this anomaly was limited. [Au(abr)] |
