Abstract: |
A single trench was excavated to a maximum depth of c. 3m below modern ground level in order to examine deposits seen in an earlier borehole and test-pit survey. It was established that probably all deposits encountered were post-medieval and probably 19th century or later. These deposits were almost certainly dumps laid down to raise the ground level adjacent to Wormald's Cut. [Au(abr)] |
