Abstract: |
Archaeological watching brief was maintained as foundation footings and service trenches were excavated by machine producing one continuous trench which was then sub-divided into five areas. Areas 1, 2, 3 and 5 showed natural layers overlain by 19th and 20th century deposits whilst area 4 showed only 19th and 20th century deposits. Area 1 produce one sherd of Roman pottery. Aside from this artefact all other archaeology on site was early 19th century and 20th century in date. [Au(abr)] |
