Abstract: |
A total of 38 sites or findspots were recorded within the study area in addition to the historic town of Cirencester. Three sites, comprising an 18th century water meadow, post-medival field drains and artefacts and an area of cropmarks possibly of Iron Age or Romano-British date, occured within the site itself. A Roman cemetery may also cross into the southern area. Given its close proximity to the important town, unknown archaeological features and deposits may still be located within the site.[Au(abr)] |
