Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out close to a church, during groundworks associated with the construction of a soakaway and the installation of drainage pipes and waste water dispersal equipment. The present building was of 12th-13th century origin, although a church at Edwinstowe had been cited in the Domesday Book of 1086. During the watching brief, disarticulated human bone was discovered, but no features or artefacts of archaeological significance were identified. [AIP] |
