Abstract: |
<summary>Trial-pits were dug over the site, part of which lay within the historic town centre, to determine the existence of archaeology and study the geology ahead of a larger archaeological evaluation. Two areas were shown to have been extensively disturbed by modern building, and others partially so. Some archaeological remains were shown to exist within the historic centre and geological sequences were also seen. {italon}AIP{italoff}{spacea} |
