Abstract: |
The settlement of Offley had a long history, perhaps as far back as Offa, after whom it may have been named. The house that stood on the site was 15th century in origin and many original features had survived, however, a survey of the site showed that the other farm buildings were generally later than had been supposed, though constructed from older material.
