Abstract: |
The evaluation consisted of fourteen trenches, measuring 720m squared, and monitoring of topsoil stripping over the western part of the site, c.8000m2, referred to as Area A. Numerous archaeological features were recorded, including a possible trackway, ditches, a small rectilinear, possibly open sided enclosure, a row of small pits, a fence line and numerous small pits and post holes. The only finds recovered were a possible worked flint, fragments of a rubbing stone and two very small abraded sherds of possible late prehistoric pottery.[Au(adp)] |
