Abstract: |
Ten trenches and 42 test pits were excavated and whilst a number of inferior flints were found in the under-layers excavated, no evidence of occupation or settlement was discovered. However, there were areas of the site which were not examined and, on the basis of this, it was proposed that an archaeological watching brief should be undertaken in selected areas during top soil stripping.
