Abstract: |
The evaluation was conducted in the grounds of the former Royal Eye Hospital. Nine trenches were excavated which encountered features associated with a formal garden. These features produced a quantity of 19th-20th century artefactual material. In the south-east corner of the site the location of a former pond was excavated to a depth sufficient to examine peat and organic material at its base. [Au] |
