Abstract: |
The site of the proposed development is situated in an area of known archaeological potential. Within the vicinity of the site there were many Bronze Age, Iron Age and Roman sites and features, including an Anglo-Saxon barrow cemetery, Bronze Age and Roman enclosures, an Iron Age smelting site as well as a Bronze Age field system. Within the study area itself, a Roman quarry was encountered during previous excavations.[Au(abr)] |
