Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation and service trenches for a car showroom. The site lay close to the reported findspot of a group of Early Palaeolithic flint implements. The London-Colchester Roman road was thought to have passed through or near the site. No archaeological remains dating from before the 20th century were discovered.[AIP] |
